[AtoZChallenge] W is for...Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh is exactly like that old TV show friends but without the sex. Or is it only me who thinks that? Is Pooh bear my favourite character? I don’t know, I have always liked Rabbit, but he does have the best voice – as if he is talking whilst yawning the whole time. The jury is out on how I feel about Christopher Robin going off and leaving us with Darby but she isn’t that bad.

When I was younger, everywhere was saturated with the Winnie the Pooh iconography, and for a time I found it all rather annoying, but then I am fickle like that.

I love Tiggers song…and I like Eeyore…and Rabbit…and Piglet…and Owl and…Kanga, because there aren’t that many mothers still alive in the Disney sphere.

You know how I love making things from paper plates...I think this looks easy and effective...

  1. I have always been anti-Pooh, although it was my nickname for Zach and I relate a little too much to Eeyore. But I am aware that I am quite in the minority in my family (as well as most of the world).

    1. I just listened to a radio show where one of the guys had never read a.a.milne and he was talking about the book that he read and had been surprised by the poetry in it. So maybe, the imagery and cartoons arent for you, but the book might be worth a read? Or not! lol we can't like everything...or in my case...anything!

    2. I definitely have major issues with the artwork (you know me), and that's probably it.

  3. Love Winnie amd the whole gang. Milne and Beatrix Potter were bedtime stories for me long before I could read. Not into the beads, but those patterns would look pretty good as plastic canvas ornaments.

    1. You're right, plastic canvas would be better, I really like that for ornaments too.

  4. Winnie's a good one. Not on Snoopy's level, but good.

  5. I think I was a big fan when I was little since I had a big stuffed Pooh bear, but the over saturation got to me as well.

  6. Tigger is my favorite. My daughter-in-law is a gigantic Pooh fan - Pooh's all over the place. I do love to read Pooh to the grandkids.
