Top 5 Tuesdays #12 Top 5 Film related charts

Hi Guys!

I do love films, all sorts, and yet I do not have any film related charts in my stash...oh wait! thats a lie...I do have one, and it is the stitch that I did for my niece of the Frozen sisters.

This wasn't for me though, and I have decided to go off in search of film charts that I would love to have hanging on my wall or in a pillow or something...so now for some me choices....so selfish :)

Top 5 Tuesdays #11 *Free Choice*

This weeks theme was *Free Choice* and I am interested to check out what everyone has opted for.

This week has been pretty hectic, which is no excuse, but has led to me posting this late, so apologies!

Anyhoo, I have decided to choose my Top 5 WIPs that I want to finish by the end of the Summer, so that's plenty of time surely what with it only being Spring.

I do have a two week holiday where I may not get to stitch, and throughout April I will be stitching on my challenge piece, and sprinkled in amongst that are a few days when I will be studying etc.

So in no particular order....

Afternoon in Paris - Country Cottage Needleworks

Ram Flower - Prairie Moon

Rejoice Tree Ornament - M Designs

Winter Alphabet - Lizzie Kate

Top 5 Tuesday #10 Time related stitches

Hey!

So this week I chose time, and have been looking at clock face charts specifically. Why? because I love cross stitch and I love finished items but I am hard to convince about everyday items that are adorned with cross stitch...are they to chintzy and twee? I am not convinced they are but I am also not convinced they aren't either...so here are a few that I like...that pass my litmus test of cross stitched clock faces...hahahhahaha

I like this and i'm ont sure why, its pretty cute and it makes me laugh to think what they are looking at, the chart is pretty expensive though, but still, its not bad!

I have never watched Dr.Who BUT I think this is actually a pretty cool idea to stitch for a fan of the show.

I have included this as its a square clock face, and although its not my favourite flower, I do know someone who would like this and I could stitch it for so it may appear in my stash soon. There are some really nice floral ones too but where would I hang them?

And the final one...I had to include for keebs :)

Top 5 Tuesday #9 Quick Stitches

Hello,

I hope you have been checking out the posts written by Tiff and Emma (see side-bar for links). Mine was slightly delayed due to me not being very organised this week, and my mother having a birthday on Tuesday and then me not going home at all yesterday!

But here I am, and it turns out I don't have really quick stitches in my stash....although I do have lots of Durene Jones charts so they could count...hmmm...I also have a lot of books with quick stitches in too, but again I am not at home...I miss home!

So, I have decided to pick my five favourite Lizzie-Kate designs. I stitched one once for an exchange, it was my very first exchange, but sadly the piece was burnt in the fire. However, I have a fondness for the designs due to the simple yet quirky style, and the fact that my name is Kate and my nickname is Lizzie so, it kinda works! lol

Anyway, enough waffle from me in my 599th post! I am going to list some of their freebie designs.

1. This is a free design by Lizzie Kate, This is the one that we stitched and exchanged and if anyone is interested in doing an exchange with me for any of the five designs then just holler! If you click on the image it will open the PDF chart.

2. A hug will do. I chose this because I overheard my 5 year old niece asking her grandma the following...'Do you ever run out of hugs?'
