Them & US: B is for Blue Bloods

Now, as I mentioned before I am going with the first show that came to mind and it is Blue Bloods. Mainly because this is currently being aired and it is something that I watch and enjoy watching. I cant say that I am disappointed if I miss it but I haven't missed it yet!

I need to mention Buffy the Vampire Slayer as I loved this...who am I kidding I still love this :D and I had a cat in Africa who I named Buffy after it.

IMDB says Blue Bloods is;

Revolves around a family of New York cops.

Its brief but pretty much an accurate description, it has a rating of 7.2 out of 8000 votes which surprised me as Arrows was 8.2 out of 58000 votes. I prefer Blue Bloods and my rating would be a firm 7.

What I like

I like Tom Selleck and would watch him in anything.
I like Donnie Wahlberg from his NKOTB days and think he is a good actor who is underated.
The rest of the cast are inoffensive and the actor who plays Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) provides the male eye candy.

What I didnt like

I don't like that some of the storylines are a bit blah and that the only attempt at an overarching storyline that carries on simultaneously with short ones was finished up badly in both instances. The finale in season one was an utter disappointment as it was in season two as well.
I am not happy with Will Estes only being eye candy and think he should get more scenes.
I think that there are no challenging storylines, no real build up of tension or excitement and maybe this has something to do with when it airs in the US but it is on late enough here to deal with heavier storylines. I think it is easy watching and I like it but I don't think it has peaked yet. This can happen in season 4 of most shows (I have found) and fngers crossed that happens.

Other 'B' shows

There are other shows that I watch and like that begin with B such as; Being Erica, Being Human (although I have only seen the UK version which I think the US version would be hard to beat), Original Jason Priestley and Luke Perry Beverly Hills 90210, Bewitched, The Big Bang Theory (which isnt as good as it once was), Big Time Rush (secret confession about this one as my 6yo niece watched it and I really like it - I know, its odd.), Blossom (another childhood show, I wanted to be best friends with Mayim Bialik and was very pleased to see her on BBT), The Brady Bunch (although was always repeats and only occasionally), Baywatch, Beauty and the Beast, and there are probably more but these are enough to indicate the choice was plenty!

Do you have a favourite 'B' show? Do you remember any of those mentioned? Do you agree with my rating?
