Five Sentence Fiction - View

Hello!

Its been a whille since I partook in Five Sentence Fiction - hosted by Lillie McFerrin, here is my latest contribution. What do you think?

The view from the window was idyllic,  the placid ice blue of the Lake providing a surface for the sun’s rays to rest upon, the grass and trees gently swaying in a cool breeze by the waters edge.
The duplicity of light marvelled her and as it danced across the water she could have sworn she saw the particles bounce off the surface as the waves caressed the ripples.
Watching the waves hypnotic rhythm, she realised for the first time that she was completely alone, and that for the rest of her life that is how it would be.
Escaping her hectic life for the peace and tranquillity of the Lake House had been an annual ritual that she always enjoyed and often told others how much she loved the isolation and freedom it allowed her.
A tear trickled down her cheek as she lay there at the bottom of the stairs waiting and watching as her life ebbed away.
Here is some music for your pleasure! (similar theme of loneliness
