I was sorting out an old Wordpress blog and came across this poem I wrote in the summer.
Anew
Shouting, crying, screaming, fighting,
never coming up for air.
Pushed away and long forgotten
even whilst still there.
Moving, packing, lifting, leaving,
on the fast lane out.
Completely sapped of energy
no breath left to shout.
Washing, ironing,, cleaning, working,
everything anew.
Wondering how long it takes
till you wont feel so blue.
The rhythm enhances the feeling of rushing and the frazzlement...( if that's not a word it should be )...and exhaustion that the piece is voicing. I really like it Kate!!!...:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was a turbulent time and I think I was trying to express that. I am glad you like it.
