New Start #6 for 50th Year Challenge (and a slight tweak to the challenge)

 Hello There,

I have been enjoying my new starts and between them have actually picked up a stamped kits I have become very close to finishing. I like to do these sometimes when I don't want lots of colour changes or to really think.

However, at the weekend I went to sort out my items in the garage, all my stuff in there is craft stuff to be fair, and whilst there I found some charts I had forgotten about and my other WIPS.

So I was so happy to see them and really want to stitch on some of them that I have decided that my goal is to keep doing new starts until I have 100 WIPs and then replace any finishes with a new start so that on my 50th birthday I will have 100 WIPS.

I currently have 43 WIPS and 6 new starts (making 49 WIPS) so can continue with the new starts for a while but potentially reduce that to one new start a week instead of two.

I will create a WIP page and write the names of the WIPs I have there.

This post is supposed to be about new start #6, a chart I rediscovered, yet wasnt aware I had it as I have seen it a lot lately and thought how nice it is.

So I started it, as I had also picked out some weeks dye works that I matched as close as I saw fit to those required in the pattern. The pattern is 'Seasons of the Heart' Hearts for Pam by The Blue Flower.

What I really like about this is the animals, all I think are Australian (but don't quote me) but regardless of that, I just like it. I stitched the outside square fist and started on the ...bottom left animal which I think is a wombat.

Here is my progress so far...

Not the best picture in any way, shape or form, but the black is actually a deep purple (I believe the colour I have chosen is aubergine). Hopefully the next time I have an update the photo will be better. I enjoyed stitching on it and like 'Arranging Leaves' (#4) it is single stitches so you have the correct varigation.

I started this yesterday (2nd November) and am not sure what I plan to stitch this week. I have to do some ironing at some point, so I will be watching Flosstube (please recommend some to me) but after that I will have a few evenings left and the weekend. I also have to blanket stitch around some felt stockings for my sister which I have been putting off (maybe Saturday I will stitch them at her house).

I am thinking I will look to stitch some more on Christmas UFO this week and an existing WIP maybe.
