New Start #4 for 50th Year Challenge

New Start 4 was yesterday, and although I am only blogging now, I did start.

I again wasnt sure as my new start #3 was so enjoyable that I really wanted to finish it. But I put it aside, and using Weeks Dye Works threads again, I started a freebie called 'Spooky Time' by Lizzie Kate. 

The colours are very muted in this design and I am not sure it works but as its a very small quick stitch, I am not too heartbroken. I did stitch this on 32ct Murano Splash Lugana in Light Basalt. I stitched 1 over 2. I like the fabric and I intend to stitch the other halloween freebies I have (there are 3 more) that are of a similar size but will probably use standard DMC thread colours for those.

The freebie chart doesnt show a finish so I have looked online to see if someone has finished it...I found this on 'The Grey Trail' blog and I hope they dont mind me sharing it here, if you click on the image it will take you to their blog.

I did see a couple of other bloggers who has completed it but in their own colours too, so I think this is closest to actual. I do not have the eyes or the spider so will have to figure that out when I have finished stitching the rest.

My progress so far...

The photo isnt taken in the best light, I will take a better one when its finished. It may take a while as I am not sure if I want to carry on stitching on it today.
