Ok, this post is for the nosey curious people only ;)

I have added a new page - Expert waffling - it is a bit about me I guess, but not relevant for the about me page. So for those amongst you who are a little bit "curious" like me - its there.

P.S.................................ITS NEARLY THE WEEKEND!!!

WARNING:Its quite long

Juggling...

I am currently trying to juggle my trip planning - see link to Off the Island - and my Sticth St Nick exchange.  I have everything ready to be sewn and am going to do this over the weekend. I love autumn colours and walked home through trees that were a changin'.

Just wanted to say Hi! :)

Guess where?

Last week I ordered two books and they arrived today! I have been inspired too of what to stitch for the Stitch St Nick exchange I am doing with Tiki.  I wanted to check out her blog to see if I thought it is something that she would like......but she is a newbie like me and there is not much to see to give me any clues!  So I am going to have to just go for it and get stitching :)  It will be a long time until I will be able to post a picture of it as our deadline is December 1st.

Also check out this wonderful womans blog and her amazing giveaway; http://herachronicles.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/halloween-cross-stitch-giveaway

On a non-stitchy note, my travel plans hit a brick wall yesterday and then I found a route around it and then **BANG!** another brick wall appeared so I found another route around and now this evening the first wall is starting to crumble and I now have two routes! Which way do I go? I have a new blog dedicated to the conundrum of my non stitchy life at: leavingmom…

And we are off...

Yesterday was the deadline to join the stitch St nick exchange and it is going to be me and Tiki taking part. It is a shame that there aren't more of us but having read everyone's blogs I can see that we are all busy busy.

I am really looking forward to doing it, I just need to decide on something that Tiki will like. My thinking cap is well and truly on.

I am also busy thinking about travelling - I have for a long time wanted to go to Southeast Asia and the USA (having never been to either) and I now have a chance to go! I am even thinking of a round-the-world trip. Ideally I would leave in November but it is more likely to be January. It is exciting all the same but needs a lot of planning! and concentration, so I need to get on an sort it all out so I can start stitching for the exchange.  I will be going alone and that is what is the biggest hurdle to going...I just have to remember to breathe...and to just do it..but it doesn't stop me from being nervous.  I will let yo…

My prizes and princesses!

I just pressed buy now on my computer! It appears that I have just bought two more books!

Scandinavian needlework and Made in France....

I really really really really really must have needed them :)

On another note the prize that I won in Donna's giveaway arrived.  Luckily it didn't have to come too far :)

I have spent most of today at my nieces christening and have arrived home to a lovely package.  My sister expresses her craftiness in cake making and she made her daughters christening cake....

Each smoke cloud coming from the train has a letter of her name in silver, she is called Ebony and here she is..

She has two older sisters, Layla (5) and Naomi (2) and here they are...
And here are some pics of my giveaway prizes...

I am a very happy bunny today :), and don't forget to put your name down for the stitch St nick exchange (deadline Sunday!)

Stitch St Nick Exchange

Hello!
I hope everyone has had a good week, I really do have to put my knitting needles down and read some blogs - but whilst I am motivated I need to seize the opportunity.
On a cross stitch related note...I mentioned amongst other things that I hoped to do a Christmas exchange after enjoying my first exchange (with Sara) so much.  I hope some of you will join us! I am happy to just have an exchange with one other person, but the more the merrier. At the moment, it is me and Tiki :) It is Tiki's first exchange and she has suggested Santa themed items. Which is fine with me.  So who else is going to join us....come on...you know you want to!
I have never organised one before and I am not sure what the usual rules are but my only rules are: You must post your item by the 1st December (that way there is a chance we will all get ours in time for Christmas). It must be Santa themed. You mustn't post photo's of it until the person has received it.If for some reason you have to drop o…

Quick update and link to give-away!

Last night I finished the grey scarf and am half way through the purple.  The other two colours that I plan to do are Teal and Cream and I want to get these done by the weekend. Finished off and pressed and ready for wrapping. That will be one thing off of my list. It will be happy days if I can commit to doing this and get it done.  Especially as I have just entered a give-away to win a Halloween chart - if you love Halloween too then enter here and try your luck!
