New Start #2 for 50th Year Challenge [UPDATED]

 Today, the 18th October 2025 is the second new start of this new year. 

I uhmmed and ahhed on which one and went with the following:

Chart Name: Christmas UFO

Fabric: 18ct Aida in A Sparkly Dappled Blue - I have no clue on what its called or where its from I am afraid.

Threads: DMC/Anchor/CXC (2 over 1)

Progress so far...

Its really hard to truly capture the fabric but I will try when I have made some more progress, as I plan to stitch on this again tonight.

Last nights progress (19/10/25)....

All I can say is it is far better in person, I will try and get a better picture tonight as I do feel like stitching on this a bit more.

Last nights progress (20/10/25)...

I am enjoying this, it is probably one of the few quick stitches I have on the new start list so its nice to see. My partner is into UFO's etc. and I am stitching this for that reason. I do plan to finish it before xmas so may pick it up again between new starts should I  not finish it tonight.

This picture is far better iin terms of showing the colour of the fabric, it is that mottled blue colour, the silvery threads in the fabric are actually not silver but translucent so are more of a rainbow fleck. I am thinking stars/meteor shower.

I googled it and saw  there is one in the US tonight (21/10/2025) so let me know if you see it (if you click on the pic below it should open up the article about when and where you may be able to see it in the US..
