1st March – Top 5 things I love that are Welsh.
The first of March in the UK is St Davids Day, represented by a Daffodil, and the patron Saint of Wales. The people who are from Wales are Welsh and they have their own dialect which is also called Welsh. There are many things to love that are welsh and although of not familiar, twenty minutes on the internet will probably help!
I just wrote this list and...forgot that it was Top 5! So now after editing...here is my Top 5 Things that are welsh!
1. Daffodils
Whilst not welsh per se they are the emblem for St David’s day, and when you first see these blooming you know that spring is near.
2. Choirs
The Welsh are renowned for being beautiful singers, and if someone says they are welsh then in my head I assume they can sing. I think this comes from the language.

3. Welsh rarebit
This is the fancy name for Cheese on toast…mmm…cheese on toast!
4. Tom Ellis
I had to mention Tom as Keebs will appreciate this as much as I do, he is an actor in several things and I believe an odd US TV show (I think you guys have him now L ) but he blessed us all by being Miranda’s love interest in the self-named show!
5. Dawn French
I love this woman, a great actress in both dramas and comedies, and a wonderful role model. Maybe I will mention her again next week!

What's not to love? We don't live so far from Wales and visit every now and then. SD bought his last Beach Buggy there a few months ago and we spent a lovely day in Carephilly.
