Sneak Peeks!

This post got lost somewhere and sat unpublished and I just thought no-one cared! But I am so over that now! :) and here its is.

The title of this post is a little misleading...I do have sneak peaks but I also had a bit of a nightmare on my weekend plans!

I started a piece on Saturday and dutifully took progress pictures and sneak peek pictures, I was doing the backstitch when I looked at it and decided  that I really didn't like it! So, that piece is going in the bin! or to be unfrogged but all the same it was quite annoying that it took me that long to realise that I didn't like it.

As a solution, and to distract me I decided to learn some more crochet skills, settling on the granny stitch - which is probably one of the most common. Subsequently, I decided that I was going to make a lovely blanket with the wool - and I have some progress pictures as I managed to use a whole ball of wool yesterday.

I have had to give myself a new schedule of restarting Christmas stitching tomorrow! But i am optimistic that I shall be stitching the right thing.

So, if you are ready...

**EDIT**
The almost finished angel that I didn't like at all! I had added the remaining hair and gold but still - bleugh!

  2. Both the knitting and the crocheting is very well done. Love the yarn you are using for the crochet - varigated colours really add something extra to the finished item. Sorry you had to ditch all that stitching, but I agree with you - if you really don't like something, stop. Hope the next project goes quickly and you enjoy it.

    1. The yarn is really soft too, and now the evenings are getting really cold even making it will have an added benefit! Yeah, I only wish I had stopped sooner than the end! lol

  5. I don't know a thing about knitting! Need to learn that someday in a near future ;) heheheh Crochet is really fun, I enjoy it, you're doing a great progress on your work! Well done :)
Didn't you like your stitching? =/ as you said, it's sad fot the amount of time you worked on in but you're right! You should stop if you don't like it, no point of finishing something if you're not having fun!
Hope you'll enjoy your weekend and stitch a lot! :D

  6. Oh poor little angel, not getting any love. I think she's cute. :D

Lovely crochet! I haven't picked up any in ages. I'm not a knitter, and am always impressed by those who are. I could never get the hang of it.

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks Karen but she is outta here!

I like that I can crochet with little concentration - or at least I tell myself I can -and don't get distracted by TV.

  7. You should live closer Kate... that way you could teach me a bit more of knitting... I loved your sneak peeks on the knitting and your crocheting is lovely... I used to do it a few years ago... but I did mainly doilies with perle cottons #8... never tried anything with yarn... but seeing yours gives me some ideas for the future ;)... as per your stitching... I'm with all the others saying if you don't enjoy it... ditch it... but it's a pity you've stitched that much... only to realize you don't like it :(.... Hope you enjoy a nice crafty weekend (with some text writing in between eheheheh)

    1. Hey Sara!
Yes, all this writing has me postponing crafty things. It is some consolation that part 10 has been done and there are only 2 left!
